HOW Newcastle Careers Team can help you…
The Careers and Guidance Team offers impartial and confidential careers information, advice and support to young people up to the age of 19 without an Education Health and Care Plan (EHC plan) and up to 25 for those with an EHC plan, if they live in Newcastle or attend a Newcastle school.
Our friendly team, of very experienced and enthusiastic staff are available to help you make the right decisions about your next steps.
We can provide information advice and guidance on the following:
Helping you make decisions about what to do after year 11, which can include 6th form and University courses, jobs, apprenticeships and vocational training courses.
Advice on personal development courses and support.
Advice and support with job search and help with applications forms, making CV’s and going to interviews.
If you are wanting to move on from your current job or training position we can offer advice about your next steps.
Information on current vacancies, apprenticeships and traineeships.
We can also refer you to specialist support organisations.
There are lots of ways you can contact us. If you are in a Newcastle school there will be a Careers Adviser from our team linked to your school. If you have left school (or are about to leave) you can see an adviser face to face or if you prefer we can be contacted by email, telephone or via social media.
